Fasting, at The Sanctuary, on Sunday 13th Jan 2013

I am sitting on the palapa at The Sanctuary in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. Taking a breath and relaxing while everyone else has gone to the Christian Surfers Sunday Service.
Doris and I are now on day five of fasting from solid food while Ben is on Day six. Hannah & Lucinda (who arrived at The Sanctuary early yesterday morning) are on day two of fasting. For me all is going very well. I seem to still have plenty of energy, inspiration and only needing around 6 hours of sleep. I think that the daily enemas, FIR sauna, cleansing with MMS and playing the Tibetan Singing Bowls are all helping to keep my energy high.
This morning though I just felt like being alone & reading a book so skipped the Sunday Service. Lots of energies are moving inside and I guess I'm feeling a little overwhelmed, or sensitive, or something I can't put a name to. But that's okay, I know that all that is happening is for me to learn from, to experience, to accept and to let go and be present, appreciating every moment, whatever it brings. And it is bringing a lot!
The last few weeks have been pretty intense, and it seems like I've hardly had a moment to relax. I'm not complaining, it has been both challenging & rewarding, with so much being learned, especially with the help of my friend Geoff who stayed here for three weeks.
Anyway, in this moment I'm feeling pretty calm and peaceful while writing this blog. If I type my thought stream quickly without editing perhaps I'll still get time to read some more of Aghora, At the Left Hand of God before the others return.
Yesterday on the way to the bus station to pick up Hannah and Lucinda, I spotted some very nice looking pine furniture being unloaded on the side of the road. I stopped and asked prices, and on the way back bought a dresser and a tallboy. The carpenters selling them were from Oaxaca and when they delivered them in the afternoon I gave dimensions for a couple of tables I wanted to have made. They gave me a bargain price so I ordered straight away for delivery on Wednesday.
So, what with all the Mexican carpets I bought in Oaxaca last weekend, along with bedspreads, cushions, singing bowls (the antique Tibetan singing bowl being my favourite - I play it all the time :-), new curtains and next week two new pine tables which will enable twelve of us to sit cross legged on the floor eating meals together, The Sanctuary healing retreat community is feeling very good and looking quite beautiful.
Now with five of us here and another five or more volunteers due to arrive over the next couple of weeks, I hope to have some more time to spend in silence (and keep up to date with my blogging :-).
Peace & Love
Ps. We are now open to receive guests for healing. If you would like more information please contact me via my Facebook page or complete the form at the BOTTOM of the Volunteer page on this website to ask for further information.
