Namaste

I am sitting on the palapa at The Sanctuary in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. Taking a breath and relaxing while everyone else has gone to the Christian Surfers Sunday Service.

Doris and I are now on day five of fasting from solid food while Ben is on Day six. Hannah & Lucinda (who arrived at The Sanctuary early yesterday morning) are on day two of fasting. For me all is going very well. I seem to still have plenty of energy, inspiration and only needing around 6 hours of sleep. I think that the daily enemas, FIR sauna, cleansing with MMS and playing the Tibetan Singing Bowls are all helping to keep my energy high.

This morning though I just felt like being alone & reading a book so skipped the Sunday Service. Lots of energies are moving inside and I guess I'm feeling a little overwhelmed, or sensitive, or something I can't put a name to. But that's okay, I know that all that is happening is for me to learn from, to experience, to accept and to let go and be present, appreciating every moment, whatever it brings. And it is bringing a lot!

The last few weeks have been pretty intense, and it seems like I've hardly had a moment to relax. I'm not complaining, it has been both challenging & rewarding, with so much being learned, especially with the help of my friend Geoff who stayed here for three weeks.

Anyway, in this moment I'm feeling pretty calm and peaceful while writing this blog. If I type my thought stream quickly without editing perhaps I'll still get time to read some more of Aghora, At the Left Hand of God before the others return.

Yesterday on the way to the bus station to pick up Hannah and Lucinda, I spotted some very nice looking pine furniture being unloaded on the side of the road. I stopped and asked prices, and on the way back bought a dresser and a tallboy. The carpenters selling them were from Oaxaca and when they delivered them in the afternoon I gave dimensions for a couple of tables I wanted to have made. They gave me a bargain price so I ordered straight away for delivery on Wednesday.

So, what with all the Mexican carpets I bought in Oaxaca last weekend, along with bedspreads, cushions, singing bowls (the antique Tibetan singing bowl being my favourite - I play it all the time :-), new curtains and next week two new pine tables which will enable twelve of us to sit cross legged on the floor eating meals together, The Sanctuary healing retreat community is feeling very good and looking quite beautiful.

Now with five of us here and another five or more volunteers due to arrive over the next couple of weeks, I hope to have some more time to spend in silence (and keep up to date with my blogging :-).

Peace & Love
pete

Ps. We are now open to receive guests for healing. If you would like more information please contact me via my Facebook page or complete the form at the BOTTOM of the Volunteer page on this website to ask for further information.

Aghora
by: Anonymous

Aghora by Sviboda is a great book of real life experience with a master of the left hand Tantra, challenging our taboo's and pulling us out of our hypnosis, only for the brave they say!

The Sanctuary is looking like a healthy place to be for all aspects of mind, body and spirit. Well done pete on pursuing your dream and creating another place in this world where love can flow in the true sense of the word. We need more of this creativity where people can live simply and deeply together in harmony and awareness of the great spirit that flows through us all. Blessed be the meek for they are not the weak. Peace and love bro, the Gods are smiling, they know who we are.

by: donkey ass, of the adams family :-)

Thanks for your comment Geoff. We look forward to your return.

I should have added, for anyone reading this in the Puerto Escondido area, that at The Sanctuary we have Tibetan Singing Bowls for sale (4 at the moment which you can see in the picture above - but we will take orders for more). We also have some very nice Rugs, made in Oaxaca for sale. Pictures to follow soon.

Peace & Love

The Sanctuary is getting activated
by: Geoff Torkington

It gives me great pleasure to read this blog and the one from Ben the other day. I myself have just returned home after my OSHO day 7 of Mystic Rose, our final day of laughing. This is also a powerful process and is asking me in the moment not to get too in the mind. All the same I can both see and feel The Sanctuary is getting activated and Pete and his team are stepping upto what is needed. I am so glad the bowl set which I supplied The Elephant Bowl continues to be enjoyed and shared.
