Koh Phangan Thailand, Malaysia

Koh Phangan, Thailand and Malaysia

For various reasons I stopped blogging after my last post at the beginning of February. I'd just about completed the first month of the Agama Yoga teacher training course, which included their "first month course". I therefore had two more months of the Teacher Training to complete.

I arrived back in Turkey in June this year (2008) but have now started traveling again, so before re-starting my blog for my new travels in Mexico I thought it was about time to complete the last one. This page will therefore cover the rest of my time on Koh Phangan and my travels in Malaysia. The next post will cover the Thai Islands, Cambodia & Turkey up to early July 2008. I'm not going to say a lot though, mostly I'll let the pictures tell the story. So, here goes..............

And then my friend Sam turned up & things all started to go horribly wrong. I was on a brown rice diet at the time. Eating ONLY brown rice. I was up to day four of seven, but Sam arrived so we had a beer. Then I had a cigarette, started eating cookies & things got progressively worse. After about another week, I decided to give up (or rather postpone until another time) the teacher training course. Now, I really can't blame it on Sam, their were other reasons, perhaps his arriving was just an excuse / catalyst. But everything happens for a reason. A lot of different things happened as a result of that decision & I have learned a lot of valuable lessons! So, more pictures:

Sam is currently writing a "spiritual" book entitled "Would Be Super-Heroes". He has been travelling now for about three years and writes an interesting blog about his travels and about life.

Although I stopped the TTC course, I did continue practicing yoga & re-joined the first month course on most days along with Sam. My friend Pebble also joined us from Turkey, but she only managed two or three sessions of yoga. Perhaps she might come along to Mexico though & try again!

Then in March, Didem came to join me from Turkey. We chilled out for a week or so before doing the 5 day Agama Tantra 1 workshop.

by: Anonymous

first, i knew you would blame /not blame everything on me! YOU greeted me with the beer after already having one of your own. i don't drink. YOU dug into the cookies... i just offered. the smoking thing... i forget how that started.

all i know is this... when i arrived, you were pasty white and not getting your vitamins or enough laughs. when you left, you were giggling, tan, and buffed up like a body builder.

you're welcome.

keep posting photos so i know when you require my presence again.

otherwise, the photo-story was awesome (there are more flattering photos of me though). the sunflower photo from malasia rocks.

enjoyed the time with you here in turkey, brother. looking forward to the scouting report on mexico...
